A Lengthy Island boy was rescued by police after falling by way of a thinly frozen pond on Christmas Day.

The 8-year-old teen was enjoying on an ice-covered a part of a pond in East Patchogue when the floor gave method, based on the Suffolk County Police Division.

On Thursday, cops mentioned a resident known as 911 after they noticed the unidentified boy caught chest-deep and unable to free himself from the frigid water outdoors the Heatherwood Lakeside Village condo complicated.

“Fifth Precinct Officers James Rizzo, and Andrew Tirelli entered the pond and tried to throw a life ring to the kid whereas Freeway Sergeant Michael Santillo crossed the ice to succeed in the kid and pull him from the water,” based on the Suffolk County cops.
