Blue Jays signing Japanese star Kazuma Okamoto

The Blue Jays are going for it this offseason.

Toronto has agreed to a cope with Japanese third baseman Kazuma Okamoto someday earlier than his negotiating window closes, The Publish’s Jon Heyman confirmed.

Phrases of the deal will not be but clear.

Okamoto hit .327/.416/.598 with 15 residence runs for the Yomiuri Giants of the Japan Central League final season.

Toronto has been lively this offseason, including pitchers Dylan Stop, Cody Ponce and Tyler Rogers in free company.
