A New Jersey city is providing a reward for details about a Rutgers scholar lacking since November.
Jackson Township officers earmarked $2,000 for ideas that result in finding 22-year-old Mortimer Wortman, a senior at Rutgers.
Mayor Jennifer Kuhn and Councilman Christopher Pollak are funding the reward themselves.
Ivan Marks, the lacking man’s brother, stated surveillance video reveals him disappearing from a college parking zone on Nov. 21, in keeping with NJ.com.
Nicholas Moccio, Wortman’s good friend and Rutgers roommate, introduced the case up at a council assembly final week.
“Mortimer’s household deserves solutions,” Moccio stated in the course of the assembly. “Jackson Township residents have to be assured that this city will search when somebody goes lacking.”
Marks stated his brother met up with a person named Adam Zalouk on the faculty’s parking zone the evening he disappeared. Zalouk had threatened Wortman with a knife beforehand.
Zalouk advised police they argued however Wortman ran off into the woods at Colliers Mills.
