There may be nothing so damaged in our sports activities world that it couldn’t all be mounted with a well-placed nuclear warhead. Day by day presents a lavish buffet of self-destruction and blind imaginative and prescient from which to decide on.
Right here’s a Witless Sampler from this previous week:
Duke College is suing its QB, Darian Mensah, to forestall him from transferring to Miami to switch sixth-year QB Carson Beck.
The grounds of the lawsuit? Breach of contract. You see, in 2024 Mensah signed an $8 million contract with Duke — a school, for crying out loud — to play QB, a contract that will this 12 months pay him a reported $4 million in NIL dough.
