A Canadian was killed in southern Lebanon amid the battle between Israel and Hezbollah, International Affairs Minister Anita Anand stated Monday, as group members individually recognized the sufferer as a Windsor, Ont., man killed in an airstrike.
Hassan Haider was killed in what vigil organizers say was a strike by Israeli forces. They stated he’s the primary Canadian killed because the latest invasion of Lebanon.
In a press release, Anand stated, “On behalf of the Authorities of Canada, I prolong my deepest condolences to his household and family members in addition to the broader group,” Anand’s assertion stated.
