Alabama freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams is already a problem.
The sensational first-year wideout scored his fourth touchdown of the season in just his third collegiate game against Wisconsin on Saturday.
Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe connected with Williams on the 31-yard score to give the Crimson Tide a 7-3 lead over the Badgers.
Williams, 17, has made an immediate impact in a limited sample size. He entered Week 3 with six receptions for 207 yards (34.5 yards per reception).
With his start to Saturday’s game at Wisconsin, four of Williams’ first eight receptions went for touchdowns.
Williams was a five-star recruit out of high school and the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2024 class, per 247Sports.
Originally part of the 2025 recruiting class, Williams reclassified as a 2024 class member in December 2023.
The moment hasn’t been too big for Williams, who has played more like a fifth-year senior than someone still too young to vote in an election.
It’s incredible to think Williams is only scratching the surface of his potential. It should strike fear in Alabama’s opponents over the next few years that he will only get better from here.
