Man United manager, Erik Ten Hag has shared his thoughts on the form of the English player Marcus Rashford for the club in recent times.
Since the commencement of the 2023/2024 club football season till the 2024/2025 season, Marcus Rashford’s form for Man United has been a topic of discussion among fans, and after the game against Southampton last week, his performance drew mixed reactions.
While some cheered that the striker was finally getting his form back, others still criticised him that he seemed to struggle with consistency and his usual form when in front of goal.
United’s head coach, Ten Hag in his pre-match press conference reacted to Rashford scoring a goal over the weekend in the game against Southampton, where he said: “Very good, of course, your striker starting to score when the season is very young. Strikers need that belief. Very good for the team. It will strengthen their belief”.
Man United got their first Premier League win in the game against Southampton last week Saturday. Rashford, Garnacho and De Ligt got their names on the score sheet, as they went home with a 3-0 win against Southampton.
Rashford got his name on the scoresheet twice in the EFL game against Barnsley on Tuesday as well, and this has given fans as well as the English striker a mood boost, as they are hopeful that this would be the tempo for the rest of the season.
When asked in an interview following the game on Tuesday, if fans should expect more goals for the rest of the season, Rashford said, “It’s early to say but I hope so. We’ll move onto the next game now and just rest, recover and focus on the next one. Football is football, sometimes you have ups and sometimes you have downs. We have to use these games to find momentum and find consistency.”
