Nigerian celebrity Davido has launched his extremely anticipated sixth studio album titled “Oriadé.”
Marking his fifteenth anniversary, Davido’s sixth album is a concise, 13-track mission that serves as a triumphant return to his roots.
“Oriadé” album options visitor appearances from Mayorkun, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, FOLA, Llona, Leon Thomas, JAZZWRLD, and GL_Ceejay.
The album combines high-energy Afrobeats with Amapiano influences, that includes collaborations with international and African artists.
The album contains a mix of intimate, home-studio recordings and high-octane rhythms, prioritising authenticity over industrial stress.
“For Oriadé, I wished to get again to my roots. It’s a title that refers to your future, and so I wished to pay tribute to my journey to date on the album, in addition to take it into the longer term.”
The gathering of songs on the album feels each rooted in Nigerian tradition and open to international influences.
