Gloria Steinem, a famend activist and chief of the second-wave feminist motion, died at her New York Metropolis dwelling on the age of 92.
“Yesterday, Gloria Steinem handed away peacefully at her dwelling in New York Metropolis, surrounded by a few of the many who beloved her. Gloria’s near-century on earth had been years well-lived, and he or she continued working for equality till the very finish,” a press release posted to her Instagram account learn.
“Gloria’s best reward was her capability to take heed to others, to make others really feel seen and heard. Her phrases, actions, and instance gave individuals permission to be their truest selves. Gloria lived true to her impartial spirit, all the time with curiosity and an incredible humorousness.”
