The future of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool is one of the concerns of most of the club’s supporters as the Egyptian gets closer to the end of his current contract.
Mohamed Salah expressed his disappointment that Liverpool are yet to present a new offer to him despite having just six months left on his contract. According to him, the decision to remain at the club does not remain but lies solely with the club management.
What did Mohamed Salah say about his future at Liverpool?
We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I am probably more out than in.
He was asked by the interviewer, if he wanted to stay in Liverpool.
He said,
“You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.”
He also confirmed that he will be focusing on winning trophies for Liverpool this season.
“Of course, yeah. I’m not going to retire soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.”
Salah has been key for Liverpool this season having scored 14 goals and created 10 assists in 21 games across all competitions.
