Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola has reacted to his team’s disappointing performance against Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League.
The Spaniard was speaking at his post-match press conference after he saw his side throw away a three-goal lead with less than 15 minutes to the end of the game. Pep Guardiola has received criticism for making his substitutions too early in the game which was the reason why his aide failed to secure all three points.
He said,
“We have problems, yes, Three changes? The game is never over, but at 3-0, I could not see any danger.”
He also added,
“It is not necessary to say anything to my players. They know perfectly.”
Manchester City have failed to secure a win in their last six games across all competitions. The draw against Feyenoord was also the first time in his managerial career that he failed to win a game after going up 3-0.
It is also the first time that Manchester City have failed to win a match in which they led by three goals for the first time in all competitions since May 1989 against Bournemouth in the second tier (3-3).
