Cole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea Football Club which will see him remain at the Stamford Bridge at least until 2033.
The news was broken exclusively on the Athletics website on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. According to reports, Chelsea decided to compensate Cole Palmer with a new contract following his impressive performance with the Blues last season (2023/24).
Chelsea signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City last summer for an initial fee of £40million with an additional £2.5m due in potential add-ons. The 22-year-old initially signed a seven-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.
Palmer will go down in history as one of the signings of last season following his £42.5million switch from Manchester City on transfer deadline day last summer, which saw him get 27 goals and register 15 assists in 48 total appearances.
The England international was part of the players who were nominated for the Young Professional Football Association Player of the Year and the PFA Player of the Year award.
