Big Zulu’s ‘200 Bars’ Dominates Apple Music Charts. Big Zulu has once again proven his dominance in the South African hip-hop scene with the release of his explosive track, ‘200 Bars’. The lyrical giant’s latest offering has quickly climbed the ranks, claiming the top spot on the Apple Music charts within days of its release.
The song touched base with Big Zulu dissing most of the SA rappers in the game, with the likes of Cassper, Stogie T, Emtee, and Duncan amongst others. Amidst all that, the song seemed to have gained traction setting endless conversation in SA Hip Hop as many fans flooded their way to listen to the track.
Taking to Instagram, the Inkabi Records boss expressed gratitude as 200 Bars soared to number 1 making it the biggest Hip Hop song in South Africa. “Biggest Hip Hop song in the country 🇿🇦200 Bars sitting on number 1🎤🦍 Siyabonga uthando lunye,” wrote Big Zulu.
The drop of “200 Bars” and Duncan’s “After Tears” indicated that the hunger for SA hip-hop is real and alive. Yet, Big Zulu voiced his frustration, questioning why so many local rappers seem hesitant to flood the scene with rap tracks.
“Ok SA ningicelile ukuth ngenze 200 Bars ngokunihlonipha nganenzela🙏🏿200 Bars Trending number 1 on YOUTUBE 3 on iTunes🙏🏿naba noAfter tears baphumile kumnandi we enjoying Hip Hop🙏🏿umbuzo uthi inkinga ikuph nge Hip Hop ama hip hop artist angakhiphi zona noma iskhath se hip hop or rap asisekho🚧uthin owakho umbono???” Big Zulu said.
With “200 Bars” taking over the airwaves, fans are buzzing with anticipation for Big Zulu’s next move. Its reign on Apple Music solidifies that, despite his recent ventures into different sounds, Big Zulu remains deeply rooted in his rap culture.
