Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix had an eventful fourth quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday evening.
That quarter included a staggering touchdown pass that traveled 67 yards in the air, a brutal interception on the ensuing drive that almost cost the Broncos the game and then a response drive that was concluded with a near-miracle touchdown pass to Marvin Mims Jr. on a fourth-down play.
Have a look:
The ensuing extra point tied the game at 24-all, and it eventually went into overtime.
Nix has been one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks this season on throws outside of the pocket, and he put that on display all day on Saturday. At no time was it more important than here.
It was also an incredible effort by Mims to go up and bring that pass down in traffic and maintain possession. The play had to be reviewed, but there was not enough evidence to overturn the call on the field.
