Bruce Smith joins Kevin Younger to learn “Open Letter to My Ancestors” by Mary Ruefle, and his personal poem “The Sport.” Smith, the writer of eight poetry collections, together with the forthcoming “Hungry Ghost,” has obtained awards from the Academy of American Poets and the American Academy of Arts and Letters, along with fellowships from the Guggenheim Basis and the Nationwide Endowment for the Arts. He teaches at Syracuse College.
