When Caitlin Clark liked Taylor Swift’s viral IG post endorsing Kamala Harris for U.S. President, many assumed the Fever star was also rooting for the democratic candidate in the upcoming elections.
However, Clark has set the record straight on whether she’s Team Harris or Team Donald Trump. Ahead of Fever’s game against the Aces on Wednesday, Clark clarified she was not endorsing Harris by liking Swift’s post, but urging her fellow U.S. citizens to make an informed decision before casting their votes.
“I think for myself, I have this amazing platform,” Clark said, via USA Today’s Christine Brennan. “So I think the biggest thing would be just encourage people to register to vote. It’s the second time I can vote in an election… I think [voter registration], that’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have. That’s the same thing Taylor [Swift] did. I think continue to educate yourself with the candidates that we have, the policies that they’re supporting. I think that’s the biggest thing you can do, and that’s what I would recommend to every single person that has that opportunity in our country.”
