Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb insists there’s no tension between him and quarterback Dak Prescott.
In a 28-25 Week 3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Lamb appeared to yell at Prescott and Cowboys right guard Zack Martin in a tense sideline exchange. On Tuesday, Lamb admitted he lost his cool and dismissed concerns about his relationship with Prescott, via Patrik Walker of the team website.
While it’s good for the Cowboys (1-2) that Lamb doesn’t seem mad at Prescott, they still need the QB-WR duo to start playing at an elite level again.
In 17 games last season, the three-time Pro Bowler Lamb averaged career highs in receptions (7.9) and receiving yards per game (102.9). Through three games this season, he has averaged 4.3 receptions and 72.7 receiving yards per game.
Prescott, meanwhile, has completed 60.7% of his passes for 851 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. In 17 games last season, he completed 69.5% of his passes for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns and nine picks.
Thursday’s road matchup against the New York Giants (1-2) seems like a prime opportunity for Prescott and Lamb to have bounce-back performances.
New York ranks 13th in the league in passing yards allowed (186.3) and is tied for 18th in points allowed (21.3). Plus, Dallas has won six straight games against the Giants.
