American singer Chris Brown has publicly thanked Nigerian superstar Wizkid for inviting him to perform at his 2021 O2 Arena concert, marking Brown’s first UK show in over a decade.
In a video shared by Luthortv, Brown referred to Wizkid as his “brother for life” and recounted the generous gesture that left a lasting impression.
“Wizkid invited me to my biggest stage in the UK in 10 years. I had been performing all around America and had not gone there for any show before,” Brown said.
Also, he revealed that Wizkid not only invited him to share the stage but also covered all his expenses.
“One day, Wiz called and told me he was getting everything set for me to come to his O2 Arena concert. He paid for everything, and I was wowed. Wizkid is my brother for life,” Brown emotionally stated.
Meanwhile, Brown’s absence from the UK stage dated back to 2009, following a ban imposed after his guilty plea for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Additionally, the 2021 O2 Arena concert, where Wizkid brought Chris Brown on stage, marked a significant moment in his career, breaking the UK performance drought.
Lastly, Chris Brown’s continued thanks shows the profound impact of Wizkid’s support on his career. Also, it shows their enduring friendship built on mutual respect and love for music.
