Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is expected to sit out in Week 3 with an ankle injury, but he could avoid a long-term absence.
On Sunday, Kupp suffered an ankle injury during the first half of the Los Angeles Rams’ 41-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. On Monday, Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that Kupp will miss “ an extended period of time” and did not rule out placing the veteran wideout on injured reserve.
However, the Rams did not place Kupp on IR this week. On Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Kupp has a high-ankle sprain and will wear a cast for about a week.
