Date:

The long-awaited album Exile by Chronixx despatched shockwaves throughout the Reggae-sphere. Teased earlier within the week by a social media put up revealing the 17-song tracklist on Tuesday, October sixth, the undertaking formally dropped on Friday, October tenth, 2025 — coinciding with Chronixx’s thirty third birthday.

Following his critically acclaimed 2017 debut Chronology, Exile finds Chronixx venturing into new sonic territory. Produced by Inflo — the award-winning producer behind SAULT, Michael Kiwanuka, Cleo Sol, and Adele — Exile fuses traditional roots textures with wealthy soul influences and an experimental edge.

The sounds on this document refuse to sit down inside the conventional confines of one drop or roots reggae. As an alternative, Chronixx builds an adventurous soundscape steeped within the essence of rub-a-dub — uncooked, meditative, and forward-thinking.

With Exile, Chronixx expands the reggae dialog as soon as once more, reminding listeners that evolution shouldn’t be abandonment — it’s development.
