ABOUT JAH DECKO
Jah Decko (born Darl Douglas) swapped a 14-year skilled soccer profession for reggae’s studio and stage. The Suriname-born, Netherlands-based artist based Dreddayouthz in 2003, pioneering Surinamese lyrics over roots reggae riddims.
He then established himself as a producer, crafting albums for Joggo, Ziggi Recado, and Miriam Simone. His 2020 EP Rastafar-I Means launched collaborator Ras Mendel. Immediately, Decko channels BoBo Ashanti spirituality into up to date reggae that honours custom whereas talking to trendy listeners.
