When visionary Jamaican artist Jah9 started her Open Coronary heart Challenge, she framed it as a journey by love’s evolution. Two years in, that journey reaches its breaking level. Hurricane, the third chapter within the four-part collection, is produced by Winta James and launched by VP Information.

Jah9, born Janine Cunningham in Falmouth, Jamaica, discovered her voice by listening to roots reggae and meditating with Rastafari friends in Kingston. Her debut New Title (2013) turned heads, mixing dub, jazz and soul right into a signature jazz on dub sound. 

Since then, she has toured the world, launched 9 and Word to Self, and invitations audiences to pause and breathe by her Yoga on Dub performances.
