Large turnout marks first weekend of early voting in NYC mayoral race

Greater than 150,000 New Yorkers forged ballots over the primary two days of early voting, suggesting robust enthusiasm over the mayoral matchup between Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, impartial Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa.

Over Saturday and Sunday, 164,190 voters hit the poll packing containers. These numbers had been excess of the 66,631 who voted  over the primary two days of the June main. And the 2021 normal election noticed simply 31,176 voters over first two days, although that election was not considered as aggressive and that was the primary election early voting was supplied.

Early voting will proceed via Nov. 2, with Election Day the next Tuesday, Nov. 4.

In Brooklyn, 49,432 forged their vote, adopted by Manhattan with 49,191 voters and Queens with 38,791. Within the Bronx, 14,225 checked in and 12,551 voted on Staten Island.

Mamdani is polling because the frontrunner within the race, main Cuomo by double digits in most polls.
