With the introduction of the new route, LIAT 2020 is prepared to provide direct flights to Dominica from Antigua and Barbuda. The flight fare has been disclosed, with a starting price of US$999 plus tax, as the airline will resume its regional air connectivity on its previous routes.
Travellers wishing to see Dominica’s breathtaking scenery may now make flight reservations thanks to an invitation from LIAT 2020. It will strengthen the ties between LIAT 2020 and the Dominican Republic’s tourism sector.
The airline was reopened following LIAT’s 1974 closure because the COVID-19 epidemic prevented it from gaining business. Since AirPeace made the majority of the investment, the government of Antigua and Barbuda launched LIAT 2020 with the assistance of the Nigerian firm.
After completing all required procedures and protocols, the airline was able to obtain the AOC and resume flying in time for the start of commercial operations in the first week of August 2024.
VC Bird International Airport hosted the first direct route landing from Saint Lucia. Antigua and Barbuda government representatives, including Prime Minister Gaston Browne, attended the airline’s launch ceremony.
Greetings to the airline; PM Browne stated that because it offers direct service throughout the Caribbean, the company represents regional togetherness. LIAT 2020 plans to extend its services to several other Caribbean countries to increase its market share in North America.
LIAT 2020 also revealed the flight itinerary from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, and Saint Lucia. The returning service runs from Antigua to Saint Lucia and then from Saint Lucia to Barbados.
The aircraft, including 301 and 302, operate a direct flight service on the route with varying departure and arrival times.
