In a statement, Lolli Native confirmed his departure from the record label, following Emtee’s public remarks on social media. Emtee accused Lolli of associating with his rival, Zaddy Swag, sparking tension between the two artists.
“It is with respect and gratitude that I confirm my departure from Emtee Records. Following a series of tweets shared last night (Tuesday night) by the label owner. Mthembeni Ndevu (Emtee), this decision has been reached marking the end of my journey with the label,” reads the statement.
In his statement, Lolli Native expressed heartfelt gratitude to Emtee for giving him the platform to shine in South African hip-hop. He acknowledged all they had achieved together, emphasizing the significance of their journey and the opportunities that helped shape his career.
