
The Louvre reopened Wednesday morning, three days after thieves pressured open a window and stole French crown jewels in a daring, daylight raid on the museum.
The Apollo Room the place the theft occurred remained closed to guests, whereas crowds — a whole bunch deep — waited outdoors the museum’s glass pyramid entrance.
The Louvre is often closed on Tuesday and had been shut for the reason that theft for investigation.
No arrests have been introduced, and the stolen jewels stay lacking.
The Paris prosecutor mentioned Tuesday that the stolen crown jewels had been price an estimated 88 million euros ($102 million), not together with their historic worth to France.
About 100 investigators are concerned within the police pursuit of the suspects and jewels after Sunday’s theft from the world’s most-visited museum.
