Those two hat tricks give him 11 since joining Manchester City at the start of the 2022 season. He is also just the second player in EPL history to record hat tricks in consecutive matches on two separate occasions. (Harry Kane is the other player to accomplish that feat.)
City is already off to a 3-0 start as it looks to defend its latest EPL title, with Haaland scoring seven of the club’s first nine goals.
Manchester City has won each of the past four EPL titles and six out of the past seven overall. If Haaland keeps finishing the way he is, the club could be on its way to an unprecedented fifth consecutive title.
