The No. 16 Kentucky Wildcats could not have asked for a better start to SEC play on Thursday night with a commanding 91-69 win over Mississippi State.
It was a record-setting night for the Wildcats with 18 made threes, surpassing the previous mark of 16, which was accomplished in 2020.

Since its only loss to then-No. 16 North Carolina, the Wildcats have won five games in a row and scored at least 80 points in each of the wins.
Kentucky has only shot 29.6% from three-point range all season, so Thursday night’s performance was a welcome sight.
Kentucky (12-1, 1-0 SEC) must keep getting balanced production and shooting the ball as well as it did against the Bulldogs if it is going to be a top-tier contender in a difficult SEC.
