An NYPD officer was shot at a Brooklyn subway station, three law enforcement sources with knowledge of the incident told News 4.
The shooting happened around 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sutter Avenue subway station near Brownsville, according to those sources.
The injured officer was struck by a bullet in the side and was expected to survive. He was transported to a nearby hospital in Brooklyn for treatment.
Sources said female suspect was also critically injured in the incident, and three additional people were placed under arrest.
