THE BRONX – An off-duty parole officer opened fire inside a nightclub and shot two men in the Bronx, police said.
The shooting happened on Monday just before 2 a.m. inside Kutty Lounge in the Allerton section.
A 37-year-old man was shot in the right leg and a 40-year-old man was shot multiple times in the torso.
Both were taken to a hospital. The 37-year-old was listed in stable condition, while the 40-year-old was listed in critical condition, police said.

A source tells FOX 5 the 40-year-old gunman shot the 37-year-old employee of the lounge and that an off-duty parole officer shot the 40-year-old in response.
“I received a phone call saying did I know that there was a shootout across the street?” a hairdresser who works nearby said.
A customer was reportedly kicked out of the bar before returning with a gun and taking aim at a cook there at the bar, a source of the shooting said.
No arrests were made.
