Additionally, in adherence to the official request by the President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden Jr., the date of October 9, 2023, has been formally declared as Columbus Day, signifying a time for reflection and unity in honor of this enduring legacy.
 

2023 THE HISPANIC DAY PARADE NYC.

In 2023, the Hispanic Day Parade in New York City was a magnificent display that showcased the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the Hispanic community. The parade featured an array of vibrant dancers in traditional attire, enchanting floats adorned with colorful decorations, majestic flags representing different Hispanic countries, and spirited musical performances that filled the air with infectious rhythms. 
 
Spanning Fifth Avenue from 44th to 69th streets, the parade drew an awe-inspiring crowd of an estimated one million spectators, creating a bustling and lively atmosphere that resonated with joy and unity. As the parade made its way towards Central Park and the Upper East Side, it brought an infectious sense of celebration to the entire neighborhood. 
 
This grand celebration took place in October, known as Hispanic Heritage Month, and served as a monumental tribute to the countless contributions made by the Hispanic community in building the fabric of the nation. Given that New York City is the largest Hispanic city in the country, the parade served as a powerful representation of the rich and vibrant traditions from various Hispanic motherlands, reminding revelers of their roots and the importance of preserving these traditions for generations to come.

2023 AFRICAN-AMERICAN DAY PARADE IN HARLEM NYC.

The African American Day Parade in Harlem is a prominent annual event held in September, attracting participants from at least 12 states and standing as one of the largest African American parades in the country. The parade’s route begins in Harlem on West 111th Street, continuing north along Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (7th Ave.) before culminating at West 136th Street.

The African American Day Parade, Inc. (AADP) was firmly established in 1968 by the collaborative efforts of Afro-American Day and the United Federation of Black Community Organizations. The inaugural meeting was convened at 2315 Seventh Avenue in Harlem, NY under the guidance of esteemed community leaders Livingston Wingate and Conrad Peters.
