Jamaican reggae luminary Protoje has unveiled At We Ft, a stirring collaboration with Damian Jr. Gong Marley, marking their first-ever joint recording. The observe arrives because the third preview of Protoje’s seventh studio album, The Artwork of Acceptance, due this spring by way of In.Digg.Nation Collective and Ineffable Data.
Produced by Winta James with visuals directed by Samo, this contemporary roots-reggae anthem centres on the Jamaican proverb “No matter we want Jah put a we ft”, a meditation on religion and abundance present in life’s simplicity.
“It’s about give up and belief,” Protoje explains. “While you transfer with love, provision comes, even in onerous occasions.”

The tune carries profound resonance for the St. Elizabeth native, whose rural homeland not too long ago weathered Hurricane Melissa. His longstanding advocacy for self-sufficiency and connection to the land infuses each verse with hard-earned knowledge.

Following his Grammy-nominated 2022 album, Third Time’s The Attraction, Protoje continues crafting aware reggae rooted in fact and goal. At We Ft follows earlier singles Massive 45 and Really feel It from the forthcoming LP.
