The NYPD is searching for multiple suspects after 10 people were injured in a Wednesday night shooting outside a nightclub in Queens.

According to police, around 15 people were standing outside Amazura nightclub around 11:15 p.m. in Jamaica when four men on foot approached the group of 16-to-20-year-olds who were waiting to get into a private event upstairs, where around 90 people were inside.

Six women and four men were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, the NYPD said.

Three to four men opened fired on the group near 91st Ave. and 144th Place, Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera said during an early Thursday press conference. About 30 shots were fired before the gunmen fled on foot. They were then seen getting into a light-colored Sedan with out-of-state plates.

The venue was at capacity, causing a line of around 15 people to form outside. That’s when police allege the suspects began firing into the waiting crowd.

“Four males were walking eastbound on 91st Ave. onto 144th Place towards the venue,” Rivera said. “Three to four males then opened fire over 30 times in the direction of the group standing outside the event space, striking multiple victims.”

Six women and four men were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, he said. All the victims were expected to survive.

About 30 shots were fired before the gunmen fled on foot, the NYPD said.

The motive was not immediately known, but Rivera said “this is not terrorism.” Police are investigating whether the shooting may have been gang-related.
