Soca artist Rane Blackman is preparing to take centre stage at Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2025 with four new singles, including the Crop Over hit Careless.
Her 2024 breakout track Careless catapulted her onto the Crop Over stage and established her on the Caribbean music scene. In 2024, having delivered three singles for T&T Carnival, she returned to the US, where she opened for Nadia Batson at her event Artform. She also performed at Vibes with Voicey on Labor Day in New York. Her single, Let We Go, expanded her global reach, gaining a fanbase in Spain, Korea, and Japan after being remixed for Zumba choreography.
Beyond her music, Blackman has diversified her influence with Behind the Soca, an Instagram Live series that provides behind-the-scenes insights into the Soca industry. The show has featured prominent voices like Jason “Shaft” Bishop and Millbeatz Music’s David Millien. The US-based Trinidadian has also mastered the skilful art of balancing her career as a performer and a member of the U.S. military to prove that she is capable of wearing many hats.
For Carnival 2025, Blackman will showcase her artistry with tracks like Doh Fraid, So Hot, and Free Up. With her relentless passion and dedication to music, Rane Blackman is warming up her tracks to cement her presence in Soca across the globe.
