Reasonably priced Housing Poll Measures Prevail

New Yorkers stated sure to 4 citywide poll measures Tuesday evening, approving a slate of proposals meant to reshape how town approaches reasonably priced housing improvement. 

The sweeping modifications stem from proposals 2-5, which goal to extend housing manufacturing by streamlining land use critiques and modernizing town’s improvement course of. All 4 proposals handed with over 56% of votes, in line with unofficial outcomes from the Board of Elections. The fifth proposal, that will digitize and create a unified Metropolis Map, obtained even stronger help.

Proposals 2, 3 and 4 obtained main pushback from the Metropolis Council, which used public funds to pay for used mailers, digital adverts and public training campaigns to counter what Council members described as “deceptive language” within the poll questions.
