On August 9th, 2024, Costa Mesa’s Pacific Amphitheatre in Orange County, CA was lit up by the vibrant sounds of Rebelution, supported by Kolohe Kai, Collie Buddz, and Cydeways. As part of the Orange County Fair Concert Series, this night was a a rager of music, good vibes, and unforgettable performances.
The night kicked off with Cydeways, whose energetic set got things going.
Their blend of reggae and rock set the perfect vibe for the night, with great songs and an engaging stage presence. I always love getting the chance to see these guys and recommend you catch Cydeways when ever they’re in town!
Next up, the always-smiling Collie Buddz took the stage, bringing his signature blend of reggae and dancehall. His performances are nothing short of electrifying, with hits like “Blind to You” and “Come Around” getting the crowd moving. Collie Buddz is a crowd-pleaser—every time—with people going wild before the sun set!
Then came Kolohe Kai — a rising star in the reggae scene and quite famous on the islands!
His smooth melodies and heartfelt lyrics resonated deeply with the audience. Kolohe Kai’s performance was an amazing blend of traditional Hawaiian sounds with a reggae twist, showcasing his roots stateside. The crowd’s response was overwhelmingly positive, with cheers and applause echoing throughout the amphitheatre to his island-style dancers.
Finally, the moment all the fans had been waiting for arrived. Rebelution took the stage to a roar of applause. Known for their uplifting lyrics and infectious rhythms, they did not disappoint. Their setlist included fan-favorites like “Safe and Sound”, “Feeling Alright”, and “Count Me In”, with newbies sprinkled in for good measure. This concert was a highlight of the Orange County Fair and a brilliant night of reggae rock to revel in the dog days of summer.
