Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is expected to be selected near the top of the 2025 NFL Draft, but if you ask him, he’s confident he’ll go at the very top.
“We know where we’re going, baby…We know where we’re going, baby,” Sanders teased in a video posted by Well Off Media on Tuesday. “You’ll see them in the cleats later on this week.”
Those cleats he promised would predict where he’ll land in the draft were revealed Saturday ahead of Colorado’s tilt against BYU in the Valero Alamo Bowl.
Sanders rocked New York Giants custom blue and red cleats with the team logo painted on the heel, indicating he’s very confident he’ll be heading to East Rutherford, New Jersey in April.
New York currently owns the No. 1 overall pick and is in desperate need of a franchise quarterback after releasing season-starter Daniel Jones in late November.
If they lose their final two games the Giants will officially own the top selection for the first time since 1965.
ESPN’s Field Yates mocked Sanders to “Big Blue” in early December but there has also been discussion about whether his teammate, Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, will be taken with the first overall pick regardless of the team.
If picked, Sanders would be primed to the 100-year-old franchise around, especially with a primary weapon waiting for him in wide receiver Malik Nabers.
The two were seen throwing a football around on the streets of New York City on Dec. 13 in a video posted on Well Off Media’s Instagram story.
Sanders to Nabers could become a familiar and very welcome phrase to Giants fans, especially if it means more wins are on the way.
