Issues have taken a flip for the more severe for one Florida kitchen employee.
A kitchen worker at a Florida jail was just lately arrested for partaking in an “inappropriate relationship” with an inmate she was assigned to oversee.
Kelly Jo Johnson, 56, is dealing with a felony cost for sexual misconduct with an inmate, following an investigation that uncovered the illicit affair behind bars.
Johnson, who had been on the job on the Walton County Jail for under 5 months, was terminated final week, as reported by the Walton County Sheriff’s Workplace.
The investigation started after a tip-off from an informant and concerned reviewing jail telephone data, surveillance footage, and conducting quite a few interviews.
Finally, authorities concluded there was sufficient proof to consider that Johnson had illegal bodily contact with the inmate inside a safe space of the jail. Moreover, she allegedly communicated with him in methods meant to bypass official monitoring, in line with a press release from the WCSO.
She turned herself in on Wednesday after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
