Aaron Judge made history again this week, becoming the fastest player to hit 300 career home runs with his three-run blast on Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox. Judge reached the milestone in just 955 games – 132 games fewer than previous record holder, Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner – despite frequently getting the Barry Bonds treatment at the plate over the past few seasons. Judge trails only teammate Juan Soto in walks since 2022 with 301, with many managers recently admitting they don’t intend to pitch to Judge unless absolutely necessary. This season Judge is on top of the major leagues in almost every offensive category including home runs (43), RBI (110) and OPS (1.174).
Which brings us to today’s quiz. With 40 games left in the year, Judge may not see enough good pitches to break his own record of 62 home runs this year. But it should be more than enough for him to secure his second MVP. With that being said, can you name the player to hit the most home runs in a season for every MLB franchise?
Good luck!
