Since wide receiver Terry McLaurin was drafted by the Washington Commanders in 2019, he’s been a consistently reliable presence for an offense with a squeaky, revolving door at quarterback. But now that the door seems to have stopped rotating with rookie Jayden Daniels lighting the league on fire, McLaurin is playing some of the best football of his NFL career. Through 10 games Scary Terry is just one receiving touchdown shy of his career high (seven) and trails only Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson with 711 receiving yards. As a result, the Washington Commanders head into “Thursday Night Football,” against the Philadelphia Eagles with a chance to take a slim lead in the NFC East.
