Heading into the Carolina Panthers‘ Week 3 clash with the Las Vegas Raiders, vibes were about as low as could possibly be in Charlotte. So low, that head coach Dave Canales made the controversial decision to bench last year’s No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young in favor of the 36-year-old veteran Andy Dalton. Dalton responded by throwing for 319 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions while leading the Panthers to their most points scored in a game since Christmas Eve 2022.
“Honestly, it’s just what I expected out of him,” Canales told the media after the deceptively close 36-22 win. “We practiced these things, the receivers were in the right spots for him and he took advantage when they gave us favorable coverages to hit those plays.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Given Dalton’s experience as a starting quarterback and the improvements Carolina brought in to beef up the offensive line and receiving corps, it perhaps shouldn’t be too surprising the Red Rifle looked like he did in his Bengals days. With that being said, can you name the quarterback with the second most passing yards for every NFL franchise?
Good luck!
