Jaheim Thomas, known as Verse, has claimed the prestigious title of Tobago Soca Titans champion, bringing fresh energy to the island’s soca music scene.
On Wednesday, 23 October, the 19-year-old rising star’s performance of his hit track Pump It Up took centre stage, captivating the judges and the crowd. Verse’s infectious energy, catchy rhythm, and powerful lyrics ultimately earned him the coveted TT $75,000 grand prize and the honour of dethroning last year’s winner, Adrian “Num Num” Isaac.
The Tobago Soca Titans competition, a major annual event, celebrates Tobago’s soca culture and gives local artists a chance to showcase their talent.
