The unlikeliest player managed to hit a triple during Game 1 of the World Series.
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman sent pigs flying during the opening contest of the World Series against the New York Yankees on Friday. Facing Yankees ace Gerrit Cole in the first inning, the lefty Freeman managed to squib a 1-2 offering the other way for an extra base hit. Yankees left fielder Alex Verdugo then took an awful angle to the ball, which skipped by him as it caromed off the wall up the third-base line. That allowed Freeman to truck his way into third for an improbable three-bagger.
