Apparently, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen heard Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is catching up in the MVP race.
Late in the third quarter of Sunday’s home game against the New York Jets, the Bills QB added to his impressive highlight reel. On a 3rd-and-9 at New York’s 14-yard line, Allen scrambled before firing a touchdown pass across his body to rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman.
As of Sunday, DraftKings Sportsbook gives Allen the best odds (-300) to win MVP ahead of Jackson (+220), even though the Ravens star has produced better numbers.
Through 16 starts, the two-time MVP has 3,955 passing yards, 39 touchdown passes and an exceptional 77.6 QBR. Allen, meanwhile, recorded 3,549 passing yards, 26 TD passes and a 76.9 QBR in his first 15 games.
However, Jackson may have a better supporting cast than Allen. The Ravens offense features running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver Zay Flowers. MVP voters may consider this when they cast their ballots.
