Shohei Ohtani delivered yet another “Are you not entertained?” moment for MLB fans on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Dodgers star put an exclamation point on his team’s battle against the New York Mets in Game 3 of the NLCS. With the Dodgers already leading 4-0 in the eighth inning, Ohtani came up to bat with two on and only one out. In what can only be described as a vulgar display of power, Ohtani turned on a 1-0 cutter from Tylor Megill and absolutely smoked it.
The ball landed halfway up the upper deck at Citi Field, curving around the right field foul pole for a gargantuan three-run homer by Ohtani, giving the Dodgers a 7-0 lead. Here is the video.
