West Ham United forward player, Michail Antonio has been confirmed to be involved in a ghastly car accident.
The club released an official statement on Saturday, December 7, 2024, where it confirmed that the striker suffered an accident. According to reports, the vehicle had suffered extensive damage, there were unconfirmed reports that Antonio was taken to the hospital.
The club statement read as follows;
“West Ham United can confirm striker Michail Antonio has today been involved in a road traffic accident. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the club are with Michail, his family and friends at this time. The club will issue an update in due course.”
The 34-year-old joined West Ham in 2015 and has long been a favourite with supporters. He was also instrumental in helping the club win the Europa Conference League. West Ham are due to play at home to Wolves in the Premier League on Monday night.
