The Wisconsin Badgers could not miss in a 116-85 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday night.
The 116 points were the most Wisconsin has ever scored at the Kohl Center. The Badgers made 21 threes, which is a program record.
Sophomore John Blackwell had a season-high 32 points. He made six of his 10 three-point attempts, including this jumper that extended Wisconsin’s lead to 38-30 late in the first half.
Blackwell knocked down this long-range shot about three minutes into the second half to give the Badgers a 64-47 advantage.
Friday night also marked the first time Wisconsin crossed the century mark in a Big Ten game since 1993.
Wisconsin’s outburst from deep was surprising, given the Badgers were 244th in the country coming into Friday night, shooting 32.48%, per NCAA.com.
After three straight losses, Wisconsin (11-3, 1-2 Big Ten) has three wins in a row, including its first win in conference play. Heading into a tilt with Rutgers (8-6, 1-2 Big Ten) on Monday, the Badgers will look to build on their recent surge and history-making performance against Iowa.
