Mountain-dwelling marmots mysteriously seem in bustling Bay Space

A pair of marmots have mysteriously appeared in busy Bay Space cities, baffling specialists as to how the mountain-dwelling rodents turned up there.

Marmots are furry herbivores that usually reside in burrows within the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The newest one was found in Antioch on Sept. 10 — with officers believing the animal hitched a journey on a automobile touring from the mountains to the town.

The earlier marmot was found on Sept. 4 on the Mission District in San Francisco and is now recovering at an animal rescue heart.

“Unbelievably, a second yellow-bellied marmot was noticed (loitering) at a job website in Antioch,” Yggdrasil City Wildlife Rescue stated on social media.

The middle added that the Antioch marmot is doing properly.

“The marmot has been safely captured and is now recovering at our wildlife heart as we attempt to uncover its origin story,” the animal rescue wrote.

The middle added that it’s attempting to get each marmots again to their properties.

A spokesperson for the middle advised KRON4 that it was one of many “stranger instances” rescuers have dealt with.

Marmots generally crawl into the underside of automobiles and devour radiator fluid, which may trigger them to lose consciousness. They could get up after the car has traveled, leaving them stranded removed from the place they began.

The most recent marmot seemingly traveled from a mountainous area near Lake Tahoe after the Labor Day weekend, in response to Antioch Animals Companies.
