A Third Delaney Corridor Detainee Has Died, New Jersey Congressman Says

A 3rd detainee died after being held at Delaney Corridor, in line with Rep. Rob Menendez (D-NJ), who mentioned the demise wasn’t disclosed to the general public by Immigration and Customs Enforcement as a result of the company not too long ago modified the way it studies deaths of detainees. 

Menendez described the reported demise, which came about in late July, on a telephone name with journalists and in an Instagram video Monday, after ICE and personal jail contractor GEO Group confirmed particulars to him throughout an unannounced oversight go to on Monday. That very same day, information broke a few second demise on the facility, that of Edwin Cornejo Lopez, which came about over the weekend.

In whole, three detainees are identified to have died on the facility, together with Jean Wilson Brutus, a 41-year-old Haitian immigrant, who handed away final December.
