It’s safe to say the 2024 season was a major disappointment for the New York Jets and their star QB Aaron Rodgers.

Despite the adversity all season, the Jets capped off the season with a 32-20 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Rodgers passed for 274 yards, four TDs and one interception. The four TDs were a season-high for the veteran. While his QBR (48.4) was 25th in the league, Sunday was a strong finish to the season for Rodgers.

This five-yard TD pass to TE Tyler Conklin gave the Jets a 7-6 lead with 7:57 left in the first half. It was his 500th career TD pass.

Rodgers became the fifth QB in NFL history to pass for 500 TDs, joining Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571), Peyton Manning (539) and Brett Favre (508).

Sunday was the 34th game that Rodgers has passed for four TDs, which is fourth in NFL history, trailing only Brady, Brees and Manning.

Rodgers’ longtime teammate Davante Adams had six catches for 88 yards and a TD to cap off a strong finish to the season for the veteran receiver with seven TDs since he was acquired by New York on Oct. 15.

Considering New York fired head coach Robert Saleh on Oct. 8 and struggled all season long to find consistency, the Jets’ Week 18 performance was at least something to carry into the offseason.

While Rodgers is still under contract with the Jets for 2025, he said he is unsure of his desire to play in 2025 and what the organization’s plans are going forward.

Although the Jets finished at 5-12, Rodgers performed at his best on Sunday with an uncertain future ahead.
